Hyacinths aren't blooming in Brooklyn yet, but potted ones were flourishing at the Grand Army Plaza greenmarket, their waxy perfume a harbinger of spring.
And today, there were bunnies! Two alarmed-looking rabbits hunkered down as if they'd been press-ganged for Easter duty.
I can see how this kind of close attention could be disconcerting.
Today's Greenmarket Dog of the Week: Not the Easter Beagle, but Daisy, a 7-year-old Jack Russell terrier. Not visible here: her one adorably speckled ear. Daisy is "not crazy," said her owner, but she still likes to jump on occasion.
