What a beautiful remembrance. And what better tribute? Thank you for sharing this.

Carmen Farina, my mother-in-law enjoyed her garden. Our family is very happy that the garden will now carry her name. Her three grandchildren always enjoyed hearing her stories about her work in the garden in Prospect Park. Carmen loved the feel of the earth in her hands. We are very proud of her. She will live forever in our hearts. The garden is a wonderful place to feel Carmen's spirit. We are very happy that the Park's Dept has decided to name the garden in her honor.
Roselle Farina

Carmen was a wonderfult women and I am very sorry to hear that she passed last year....RIP Carmen you are with your boys now.....

Rest in peace, Carmen. It's an honor to be able to tend your garden.
